The Northumberland Fisheries Festival is a long-standing tradition in the community of Murray River, Prince Edward Island. Started after the completion of the Northumberland Arena in 1980, residents and tourists alike have gathered each July to socialize, eat delicious local food, take in lots of entertainment, and participate in our many activities.

Local vendors line the edges of the ice surface inside the arena yearly, promoting their products, providing information about their industries, and interacting with the public. We are happy to offer this opportunity to the business community, and thankful to those who choose to participate year after year. Join us in July for the Northumberland Fisheries Festival and our Annual Lobster and Ham Suppers. Drawing hundreds to this delicious meal yearly, we offer both dine in and take out options. Serving locally fished lobster, potato salad made with island spuds, incredible homemade rolls and desserts and much more, its no wonder this is such a large part of the festival! Sorry, we do not take reservations.
